Featured Galleries: Tafri: Mehrauli through a family album

image here

Mehrauli village is the site of many historical structures and the site of two early capitals of Delhi - Rai Pithora and Lalkot. Mohammad Tauhir, a resident of Mehrauli also worked as a tour guide in his younger days. Gifted with a camera in his teens, he became passionate about photography. Tauhir recalls how he and his brother, Mohammad Anwar would dress up and take pictures of each other at various monuments. Tauhir has documented his brother and his family around Mehrauli over the years. Through his pictures, we are able to see the changes in Mehrauli from the 1970s to 1990s. This gallery is a window into the area through the family albums of the Tauhir and Anwar.
