National Bal Bhavan was established in 1956 by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to encourage and inspire children in the feild of science and technology.The mini train at Khel Gaon Station ( a model railway station) was orginally gifted by Jawaharlal Nehru to the centre in 1958. The train is one of the major attraction of Bal Bhavan.
