Description
When Lalbhadur Shastri launched the Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan Andolan, Quetta DAV in Nizamuddin converted its school playground into wheat fields. In the picture: Bhrama Swaroop Snatak, Hindi and Sanskrit teacher at Quetta DAV school with his children Pawan and Sudarshan. Bhrama Swaroop Snatak, was lovingly called Snatak Ji by students and fellow collegues. He moved to Delhi in the 1950s from the village of Mahua near Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh. In addition to teachng languages he oversaw Quetta DAVs garden and fields and was also active in sports activities. Before a concrete building was made classes for lower-grades were held in the tents visible in the background.
