Title:
Travellers in the city
Description
Hartge's consignment outside Rashtrapati Bhavan. Jan Friese became friends with Hartge (person in the middle) from when he worked in the German Embassy. Hartge owned a company. He was a transporter, brought goods, particularly for the diplomats overland from Germany. In the end he gave up the business during the Civil War in Afghanistan (post 1979). One day he got attacked and his co-driver was killed by Mujjahideen and apparently they apologised later on saying that they thought they were East Germans.
