It was founded by Mrs. Adrienne Jackson and Mr. Peter Jackson for their son David with Downs' Syndrome and other children with special needs. L-R: Mrs. Afzal Friese, the first Principal of the Centre (Photographer's wife) who played an active role in helping the Jackson's setup the society, Mrs. Gunther Dean, wife of the German Ambassador and Malti Bewu, wife of Chief of Army Staff.
