As Mehrauli residents, Tauhir and his brother had to take visiting relatives to various archaeological sites in Mehrauli. Qutab Minar was invariably a destination until it became ticketed by the late 1970s. He remembers this photo being taken around noon, as they usually waited to photograph the structures at noon, when the sun was right above and the shadows the smallest. Tauhir also became a tourist guide around this time.Dated:
