Description
Women's colleges have also fostered female friendships and provided free spaces for women to interact. Gossi Soto (second from right) was a Mexican journalist who came to Miranda House for her post-graduation. She remembers her days at Miranda House as , "I enjoyed very much because I made friendship with so many of them, friendship that has lasted up to now." In the photograph Soto sits with her friends in the college lawns. Lotika (Purkayastha) Varadarajan, ethno-historian, is on the extreme left.
