David Alfaro Siqueiros, Mexican social realist painter, visited India in 1956 along with his wife Angelica. They were invited by Indira Gandhi. David Alfaro Siqueiros was commissioned to make many murals during the 1950s. He undertook many international tours including one to India and China. in 1956.
