The Indian tricolor with the handloom chakra as its central motif, 1966
Description
Many weavers migrated to Delhi from neighbouring states from 1950s onwards in search of work and better prospects. Handloom industry's growth and incentives by the government led to growth of 'weavers colonies' in areas such as Sundarnagri, Sawan Park, and Bharat Park.
